Title: Fleet
Mechanic
Pay Rate: $19.07/hr
Job Description/Objectives
Repair and maintain, in accordance with
manufacturers' and Company specifications, Company
vehicles and equipment (trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks,
Company cars and vans).
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair fuel
systems, brake systems, transmissions, electrical drive
motors, engines, differentials, charging systems and
electric circuitry, front end and steering problems, and
automotive air conditioners and engine cooling systems and
components.
Comply with all EPA, DOT and OSHA
regulations as they pertain to fleet.
Accurately update repair orders and
preventative maintenance checklists, and ensure proper
codes for Maximo input and parts accountability.
Minimum Qualification/Requirements
Must have a High School diploma or G.E.D.
Must have a minimum of five years
experience as a truck mechanic.
Must possess a driver’s license and have
a good driving record per Company standards.
Must be able to meet all D.O.T.
requirements.
Must be able to operate an acetylene
torch and arch welder.
Must possess excellent knowledge of gas,
diesel, and propane engines.
Must have experience in mechanical
schematics and repair to include hydraulics and
pneumatics.
Must be able to work 10:30 a.m. – 6:30
p.m.
